Something a little different

At Team BU, we have a healthy gathering of female athletes from all different backgrounds. The members are free to join our private group chat, and recently, through our fellow team member Andrea, we got on the topic of what trail races do for women sparked by the Trail Sister’s criteria for races they can highlight on their webpage.

TS Approved Races Commit to the Following:

  • Equal Podium Spots
  • Equal Prize Money & Awards
  • Women’s specific swag & apparel. (no unisex t-shirts)
  • Feminine hygiene products at all aid stations.
  • Equal opportunity/space for women on the starting line

A good discussion was spurred, so we decided to bring this to light with Rebecca and Payton from Team BU on the call today.

If you enjoyed this, give us a shout, either through a facebook message (Becoming Ultra) or contact@becomingultra.com.

We also offer coaching for everyone, so if you’ve been on the fence, let’s talk.
